Research Description
Broadly speaking, I am interested in culturally responsive intervention practices for Chinese treatment seeking. My primary research interest is how Chinese cultural values influence Chinese international students’ help-seeking attitudes and behaviors, mediated by peer counseling. My second research interest is the utilization of intersectionality to develop coping mechanisms for stigmatization based on Chinese racial and national identities. Finally, I am interested in developing a cultural-based project that helps Chinese international students fight against cultural shock and social injustice.
