
The College of Liberal Arts & Sciences has recognized Simona Buetti for her "Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching for Graduate Teach Assistants."
Buetti is a Research Associate Professor who has been with the department for over a decade and has received accolades such as the Arnold O. Beckman Research Award.
"In addition to teaching PSYC 230 and 355, Buetti has made innovative strides in course accessibility, creating online and hybrid sections. "(Research associate professor). Buetti is not only responsible and caring but also deeply committed to helping her students succeed. She always encourages us to reach our fullest potential," wrote an alum who graduated in 2024."
Dr. Buetti is the co-director of the Vision Lab, which focuses on "characterizing the contribution of parallel peripheral vision to our rich sense of the world."
The awardees will be recognized at a ceremony in April.
