Professor Susu Zhang has won the 2022 Alicia Cascallar Award for an Outstanding Paper by an Early Career Scholar given by the National Council on Measurement in Education (NCME). Dr. Zhang is an assistant professor in both statistics and psychology. The work for which Dr. Zhang received this award is titled Accurate Assessment via Process Data and will be published in the journal Psychometrika.

The NCME is a professional organization working to advance educational measurement theory and applications to be an asset to society. They seek to promote a deeper understanding of educational measurement and encourage the adoption of measurement best practices. Every year, one early career researcher is chosen whose manuscript was presented at a recent NCME annual conference and demonstrates particular merit. The Alicia Cascallar Award is designed to encourage promising new scholars in the area of educational measurement.
