We are delighted to announce that Prof. Joshua Gulley and Prof. Nu-Chu Liang have received grant R21 DA045175 from the National Institute of Drug Abuse. The project title is "Mechanisms of metabolic and cognitive dysregulation after combined alcohol and THC use". The total cost of the project is $413,385.00. Alcohol and cannabis are among the most commonly abused drugs and they are often used together, especially by adolescents. This project uses a rat model to investigate how adolescent co-use of alcohol and Ä9-tetrahydrocannibinol, the main psychoactive drug in cannabis, causes dysregulation of metabolic and cognitive function. Congratulations!
