Sima Finy Wins the Donald E. Swift Scholarship



Donald Swift (1924-1993) was the first student to graduate from the University of Illinois using the services of the Disability Resources & Educational Services program. A scholarship was established in his honor to recognize students of merit.

The Donald W. Swift Scholarship is funded by the family of Donald Swift (1924-1993), who was the first student using the [University of Illinois, Disability Resources & Educational Services] DRES services to graduate from the University of Illinois, this annual scholarship provides financial assistance and merit-based support for students with disabilities who are served by DRES.
