Note: We are seeing only graduate (Master's and Ph.D.) students from the Psychology Department.
We have 3 time slots to suit various needs. For most purposes, the 60-minute slot is most appropriate.
To reach as many students as possible, we request students limit bookings to a maximum of 90 minutes a week :
- 30-min slot (Initial/Follow-Up): This may be good for your first appointment or a brief follow-up. During the session, we can chat about your writing goals and discuss a plan. Generally, this appointment is not sufficient for first time editing or feedback.
- 60-min slot (Standard Support): This is our standard appointment time to provide feedback on smaller assignments (e.g., thought papers, statements of purpose) or to work on writing fitness and skills.
- 90-min slot (Extended Support): For feedback on larger documents (e.g., manuscripts, fellowship applications, grant proposals), this appointment may be more appropriate. Book a 90 minute appointment if you like more time to go over your writing goals or begin a writing fitness program.
If the time slots posted don't work for you, please email psychology.wsc@gmail.com to request for a time slot that works for both of us (subject to availability).
60-min slot (Zoom)
If you would like feedback on your writing, please email your document to psychology.wsc@gmail.com.
For documents less than 5 pages (doubled-spaced): please email at least 24 hours prior to your appointment.
For documents 5 pages or longer: at least 48 hours prior to your appointment.
90-min slot (Zoom)
If you would like feedback on longer documents (e.g., thesis/dissertation), please email your document to psychology.wsc@gmail.com at least one week prior to your appointment.
Office Hours (In-Person, Room 205)
Walk-ins are welcome. If possible, please email in advance your request for writing support. If you would like to receive in-person feedback on your writing, do allow at least 24 hours preparation time (email your document to psychology.wsc@gmail.com 1 day in advance).
