Dr. Deanna Barch, who has produced pioneering work on the neural mechanisms of psychosis has been appointed as one of the newest members of the National Academy of Medicine. The Academy is one the foremost institutions of medical research review, providing authoritative and scientifically informed recommendations on matters of national and international health priorities. Dr. Barch's nomination represents a prestigious honor that recognizes Dr. Barch as a leader in the field of psychosis and related mental illnesses.
Dr. Barch received her PhD from the University of Illinois Clinical Psychology program in 1993.
