Virtual Events headline this year's C-U Pride Festival

This year's theme for the C-U Pride Festival is "Staying Apart, Rising United." To celebrate that feat, the organizers have assembled an amazing schedule of Virtual Events for you to enjoy this weekend.

A virtual workshop for clinicians about providing culturally competent care for trans patients.  It's being held on Saturday, 9/26 from 2:00-4:00pm.  Representatives from Planned Parenthood, World Professional Association for Transgender Health, and Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago will be discussing creating gender-inclusive offices, navigating insurance and referrals, and providing care for trans and gender diverse care.  Advance sign-up is required.  Visit for registration information.

Also, an interactive virtual LGBTQIA+ Pronoun workshop on Saturday, 9/26 from Noon - 2:00pm.  The workshop will provide information about queer terminology, the function and role of gender in our lives, and an opportunity to practice using pronouns in everyday situations.  Advance sign-up is required.  Visit for registration information.

Pride Fest 2020 also includes some fun virtual opportunities for connecting, like a Pride-themed virtual trivia night, and workshops geared towards youth and teens.  Check out all the rest of the events on Uniting Pride's website,  We hope you can join in celebrating an inclusive C-U community!
