This year's theme for the C-U Pride Festival is "Staying Apart, Rising United." To celebrate that feat, the organizers have assembled an amazing schedule of Virtual Events for you to enjoy this weekend.

Including...

A virtual workshop for clinicians about providing culturally competent care for trans patients.  It's being held on Saturday, 9/26 from 2:00-4:00pm.  Representatives from Planned Parenthood, World Professional Association for Transgender Health, and Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago will be discussing creating gender-inclusive offices, navigating insurance and referrals, and providing care for trans and gender diverse care.  Advance sign-up is required.  Visit unitingpride.org/pridefest2020 for registration information.

Also, an interactive virtual LGBTQIA+ Pronoun workshop on Saturday, 9/26 from Noon - 2:00pm.  The workshop will provide information about queer terminology, the function and role of gender in our lives, and an opportunity to practice using pronouns in everyday situations.  Advance sign-up is required.  Visit unitingpride.org/pridefest2020 for registration information.

Pride Fest 2020 also includes some fun virtual opportunities for connecting, like a Pride-themed virtual trivia night, and workshops geared towards youth and teens.  Check out all the rest of the events on Uniting Pride's website, unitingpride.org/pridefest2020.  We hope you can join in celebrating an inclusive C-U community!
