The Psychology Department's Diversity Committee held its first anti-racism event of the 2022-2023 school year.

It was a significant first step to seeing real change in the field of psychology. The discussion featured the article "Upending Racism in Psychological Science," written by Buchanan et al. (2020) (article linked below). On Wednesday, September 28th, two reading groups came together—one over Zoom and one in person—to discuss our thoughts on the reading and what steps we can take to create a more inclusive and anti-racist science.

The link to the reading can be found here.

We want as many of our department members and alumni to join in these discussions in the future, so be sure to follow us on social media for announcements of any follow-up sessions! Let's take a stand together.
