As many professors are learning to adapt to the transition to online course delivery, Psychology professor Dr. Carla Hunter has found ways to leverage the new online format to expand content by allowing students to interact with guest lecturers. With online instruction, it becomes more feasible for lecturers located in different parts of the world to easily join a classroom and share their unique perspectives with students. In Dr. Hunter's PSYC 336: Special Topics in Clinical-Community Psychology course students were able to learn from an individual who identifies as intersex about the role of virtual spaces in identity exploration. The guest speaker was located in Massachusetts but the virtual classroom environment made it feasible for them to join even from almost a thousand miles away.
