Biography
Dr. Nydia Vurdah is a developmental psychologist researching the nature and origins of numerical development. She received her Ph.D. in Psychology at Paris Cité University examining the neural and cognitive bases of attention to number in the development of mathematical abilities. She then joined the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign as a postdoctoral research associate. Her current work focuses on the relation between functional brain representations and numerical development using EEG/ERP and fNIRS techniques.
