Biography
I received my B.A. degree in Psychology and History with a minor in Spanish from Blackburn College. I am currently a first-year graduate student in the Master of Science in Psychological Science (MSPS) program at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, where I work with Dr. Josh Gulley in the Neuropsychopharmacology Lab. We study the neurobiological and behavioral consequences of repeated exposure to psychoactive drugs and investigate motivation, cognitive behavior and brain circuitry in drug naïve individuals, specifically rodent models of adolescence. My research focuses on how amphetamine exposure during adolescence alters cognitive flexibility and how early life stress (ELS) impacts that experience. After earning the master’s degree, I aim to continue my research in a behavioral Neuroscience doctoral program. Outside of research I enjoy creating art, playing video games, and cosplay.
