Biography
As a developmental psychologist, I'm particularly interested in gender-role development, or how children are socialized into the gendered world that we live in. For example, how do gender stereotypes affect children's attitudes, interests, beliefs, and performance? I teach a number of courses and my priority is always for students to not only master academic material but to be able to use that knowledge as critical consumers of research and information on a daily basis. I am also the Director of Online Education in the Department of Psychology, where I supervise and help develop and teach a number of online courses over Summer and Winter Sessions.
