Biography
I am a first-year doctoral student in the Clinical-Community division of the Psychology Department. My bachelor’s degree in psychology was earned at Western Michigan University, and I hold a B.M.A. in music performance as well. Before attending UIUC, I worked as a research coordinator in the Center for Cognitive Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. This experience shaped my current research interests in the neural correlates of cognitive and emotional processes. I’m particularly interested in the underlying mechanisms of cognition-emotion interactions in depression or anxiety-related disorders and how alterations in these pathways may predict maintenance of these conditions or likelihood of remission.
