Dr. John Shustitzky

Dr. John Shustitzky receives a Distinguished Alumni Award from Professor and Head Wendy Heller.

Dr. John Shustitzky earned his B.S. degree in Psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1973, and his M.S. 1975 and Ph.D. 1979 in Counseling Psychology, also from the University of Illinois.

Dr. Shustitzky is Director of Applied Professional Practice/Director of Clinical Training, Clinical Psychology Doctoral Program, Chicago School of Professional Psychology and holds an appointment as Professor of Psychology. He has spent his career serving institutions of higher learning and community-based mental health and human services organizations.

Dr. Shustitzky serves as Co-Chair of the Illinois Mental Health Planning and Advisory Council and is a member of the Illinois Department of Human Services Advisory Council. He has been a member of the Psychology Alumni Advisory Board since its inception in 2008.
