Fall 2026 SONA Deadlines
AUG 24 | Classes start. |
AUG 26 | Course credit participant pool opens. Starting on this day, you can register in SONA and participate in studies. |
SEP 25 | Informal deadline for students to register in course credit SONA. Students must be 18 by this date to participate in research studies. |
OCT 16 | PSYC 100 Students: at least 3 credits must be earned by 5:00pm CST to qualify for a bonus credit. Note: the bonus credit will be awarded a few days after this date. |
NOV 21 -NOV 29 | Fall Break |
DEC 10 | Reading Day. Final day to participate in course credit studies (all studies must be completed by 5:00pm CST). Final day to submit Under-18 Alternative Assignment (by 5:00pm CST). |
DEC 11 | Course Credit Participant Pool closes. Be sure to confirm your participation status (credit/no-credit) for all study sessions. |
DEC 14 | SONA course reports will be sent to instructors. |
Note: Students currently located in the territory of the People's Republic of China, the European Economic Area, or the United Kingdom should ask their instructor for an alternative assignment instead of participating in research.
Note: In one semester (Fall/Spring), students can earn only 2 total credits at most with online studies. Any additional SONA credits should be earned through participating in in-person or virtual (zoom) studies.
