Biography
I am an incoming PhD student working with Dr. Stefan Uddenberg. I wish to study and unravel the intricate connections and interactions between our visual processing mechanisms and the broader array of cognitive, affective and perceptual systems within the human psyche. I first stumbled upon the field of cognitive psychology a few years ago via an unforeseen opportunity to work with a startup creating new kinds of cognitive tests. As a software engineer, my job was to develop online experiments to assess different cognitive abilities in both elite athletes and the general public, such as attention, working memory, and processing speed. This hands-on experience catalyzed my interest in the complexities of human cognition and perception, and led to my desire to pursue a Ph.D. in the subject.
I am a tech enthusiast and I religiously follow the trends in the 3D (AR/VR/XR/Gaming), Web 3.0 worlds along with the Web 2.0 world. When I’m not at work, I like to jog by the beach, compose music, write blogposts and read. Born in Vizag(India), also nicknamed as the City of Destiny, going to the beach to witness some refreshing sunrises and sunsets is my go to activity.
