The Registered Student Organization, "Women In Psychology" are hosting a Psychology Career Expo on Saturday, April 18, from noon to 3 p.m.
We reached out to one of the co-creators, Veronica Sakowicz, to give you all the bullet points you need to enjoy this wonderful event. "A lot of students (myself included) come into the major with a clear sense of all the possibilities, so we wanted to create a space that makes those pathways more visible."
- The event will be held in the Campus Instructional Facility (CIF) in rooms 3025 and 4031. One room will be for speaker presentations, and the other will have booth spaces for resources and student organizations.
- Attendees do not need to bring anything, but they are welcome to get feedback on their resume at one of the booths.
- There will be a range of professionals from different psychology-related and interdisciplinary career paths (e.g., clinical, research, social work, and other applied fields). Each speaker will give a short presentation about their career path, experiences, and advice for students.
- Light refreshments and snacks will be available.
We hope you enjoy this chance to learn about the versatility of your psychology degree, and explore all of you options on campus and beyond.
