Room 219a
The multimedia projector located on the ceiling in the back of the room allows you to project the display of either the instructor's Dell computer at the front of the room, or optionally a laptop display, on to the large screen at the front of the room.
To use the projector:
- If you are going to use the instructor's PC located at the front of the room, power it up and login. Or,
- If you have a laptop (PC or Mac) that you would like to use, connect it to the 15 pin video jack located on the switch box on the wall next to the DELL PC and power up your laptop. The video output from the laptop display will then be projected on the large wall screen.
- Press the remote control's Power button located in the top, right corner of the unit.
- Wait a few moments, it will take a minute or two for the display to come up on the large wall screen.
- You should now see whatever is on your computer display projected on the large wall screen in the front of the room.
- If you see a "no signal" displayed on the large screen, then the video from the computer you are using is not getting sent to the projector. This could be due to a bad video cable, bad connection, or the PC or laptop not being powered on.
- When you are finished, power down the projector by pressing the remote control's Power button once. A box will come up on the large wall screen telling you to press the Power button again if you want to power down the projector.
