Biography
Bora is a Master’s student in Psychological Science at the University of Illinois Urbana–Champaign. She works under the supervision of Dr. Stefan Uddenberg in the Cognition and Social Perception (CASPER) Lab, where she studies how people perceive and evaluate visual information. Before beginning her graduate studies, Bora earned her B.A. in Psychology from Cornell University.

Research Description
The Cognition and Social Perception (CASPER) Lab studies how the visual system enables people to perceive and make sense of the social world around them.
With an academic background spanning psychology, fine arts, and game design, Bora is interested in bridging perceptual science with digital media to understand how visual design shapes social perception, attention, and engagement. Her current project focuses on modeling how people mentally represent and perceive scenes, particularly urban environments, using computational and data-driven methods.
