Biography
Maya Salameh (they/she) is a first year doctoral student working with Professor Nathan Todd. She received her M.A. in Sociology and B.A. in Psychology from Stanford University in 2022. Prior to UIUC, Maya worked in the labs of Professors Hazel Markus, Steven Roberts, and James Gross, conducting research on subjects including racialization in city spaces, the representativeness of psychological literature, and bi-directional relations between children's and parents’ negative temperament. Her research interests span ethnic minority wellbeing and psychological/social change behaviors, especially among Arab Americans.
