Daniel Vushaj

I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biopsychology, Cognition, and Neuroscience from the University of Michigan. I am a Masters Student in Psychological Science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where I work in the STEPP lab under the supervision of Dr. Joseph Cohen.

My interest is centered on how resiliency manifests across the lifespan. What separates the psychologically adaptive from the psychologically brittle? Why do some people adapt while others continue to experience distress? My primary goal is to understand the contexts that foster growth and develop for certain individuals when facing different forms of potentially traumatic events.
