Research Description

Broadly, my research focuses on how aspects of an individual’s emotional experience—such as emotion regulation, beliefs about emotions, and emotional awareness—both develop and influence psychosocial adjustment across the lifespan. Additionally, I am interested in factors that may contribute to both the stability and malleability of psychopathology over time, with a specific focus on emotional processes, temperament/personality, and social-cognitive factors. To examine these processes, I utilize a multi-method approach, including experience sampling, lab-based, and longitudinal designs.
