Research Description

I am interested in sociomoral development in early infancy. The overarching goal of my research is to unravel the roots of our tolerance for social and economic inequalities in society from a developmental, evolutionary, social and cultural perspective. To this end, I am currently investigating the development of the sense of fairness and how this sense of fairness is regulated by different factors such as merit, prior resources, group membership, and needs of recipients in a resource allocation and reward dispensation context. Additionally, I am interested in infants' and toddlers' attitudes toward advantaged and disadvantaged individuals.
